Electrical and life-safety infrastructure for workshop, offices, and a training centre in Chatteris
Project Overview
Metalcraft’s Chatteris site brings together practical workshop space, office accommodation, and a dedicated training centre. This commission forms part of an ongoing multi-stage relationship with NEC, with each phase extending electrical and life-safety provision as the facility has developed.
NEC delivered key installations across the site: emergency lighting, CCTV security, external lighting, LV distribution, fire alarms, and mechanical power. Layout and servicing requirements evolved through each project phase as workshop, office, and training areas came on line.
The mix of uses — production workshop, day-to-day offices, and formal training — called for careful coordination of power, containment, and life-safety systems so every zone remains compliant, accessible, and ready for daily operation.
