Sterilization Facility Support
Electrical infrastructure supporting incoming and outgoing NHS equipment workflows, including processing spaces where endoscopies and related devices are prepared for return to hospitals.
NHS-focused sterilization facility electrical infrastructure
Project Overview
Steris operates internationally and provides sterilization services for equipment used across NHS hospitals. The facility handles specialist items including endoscopy equipment, which arrive for processing before being returned to clinical environments.
The on-site workflow requires equipment to be polished, cleaned, and sanitized in sequence, with each stage supported by reliable electrical infrastructure and carefully planned service zones. This is NEC's third project for Steris, building on prior delivery phases with consistent technical standards.
From certain vantage points, the warehouse can appear inefficiently utilized because operational activity is concentrated in defined zones. In practice, the large volume and high-ceiling layout are essential to support controlled temperature environments and safe, scalable healthcare processing.
Project Focus
Infrastructure and services aligned to healthcare processing reliability, compliance, and throughput.
Electrical infrastructure supporting incoming and outgoing NHS equipment workflows, including processing spaces where endoscopies and related devices are prepared for return to hospitals.
Power and building services coordinated within high-ceiling warehouse areas to maintain reliable operation in controlled-temperature storage and processing zones.
Robust distribution and services planning designed for continuous throughput in a mission-critical healthcare operation with national NHS dependencies.
Delivery model aligned to an ongoing programme of works, enabling repeatable standards and phased expansion across multiple Steris projects.
